From the Management

An idea brought up during the staff days is the need of a CEC Research Seminar series. This is now being planned and will be launched during spring! More information, including how you can participate in what will be the CEC meeting place to present, discover and discuss research in environmental sciences, is coming your way soon.

The CEC Plan of Operations 2021 has been translated and is now available in English and Swedish at the links below. The Management group members will present the different parts of the Plan of Operations during Friday talks according to the schedule below. The talks will cover actions for 2021 and how they relate to the long term goals and how input from the staff days are taken into considerations. There will be time for questions and reflections.

The Vice chancellor has prolonged the Covid-regulations decided on 22 December to be valid until further notice, and the Faculty has made an interpretation of these, in short:

All work tasks that can be performed from home must continue to be performed there.

  • Work tasks that need to take place in the workplace, but that can wait, should be postponed.
  • An exemption can be granted for necessary work tasks that need to be done on site, for example, in research, postgraduate education, teaching preparation, administration, operations and maintenance. An exemption can also be granted for individual teachers who are unable to carry out digital teaching from home and thus need to be on campus to do so.

If you need to visit the office for any reason you need permission beforehand from your line manager, and a risk analysis will be carried out. If you plan to do any lab work on campus, you need to ensure that there is one more person close by, who is informed that lab work is carried out and can help you in case of an emergency. For education there are more regulations to consider, including permission from the Dean. Please keep yourself updated at:
