Management information

Thank you everyone who participated last Friday fika in the discussion about the evaluations regarding CECs future organization and for valuable input. There will be more opportunities to influence, and we will come back with more information when we know more.

The decision to move parts of CECs staff to Geocentrum II has now been taken by Per Persson. The process of identifying who will have their office where starts now. Those who are directly affected will be involved, as well as the health and safety representatives and student unions. The rest of you will be informed along the way. If you have any questions, please contact your line manager or a Health and safety representative.

The planning for the closing parts of the Ecology building during summer due to reconstruction work are continuing. CEC will have access to one flex office and one lab in addition to a small number of offices. It will be possible to enter your office or storage room to collect leave things, but you are not allowed to work there. The construction work will be carried out during June-August, but preparatory work starts already now and more intensively in April and May. We will send out more detailed information later. If you have any questions, please contact your line manager.

Your line manager will soon invite you to a salary-setting appraisal, the next step of the salary review 2021. (This does not apply to PhD students or those employed later than October 2021.) The new salaries are planned to be paid retroactively in May.You can read more about the salary review in the LU Staff pages https://www.staff.lu.se/employment/salary-and-benefits/salary-setting- appraisal-saco-s-and-non-union-members

The process is in place to make sure that questions like co-funding, letters of support, full cost calculations etc are handled in an effective way and to avoid last minute surprises and chaos. Always follow the checklist, even if you don’t need co-funding etc. Contact research coordinator Marianne Hall if you have questions: marianne [dot] hall [at] cec [dot] lu [dot] se (marianne[dot]hall[at]cec[dot]lu[dot]se)
