Be on time when applying for funding
Are you planning to apply for funding this spring? Please note that all applications must be approved by the CEC director beforehand. This applies to all applications where a researcher at CEC is the main or co-applicant or the application involves funding of positions at CEC, whether the application involves co-funding or not. To make this work smoothly, please contact research coordinator Marianne Hall as soon as possible. To get a formal approval from the CEC director, you need to hand in a short list of facts to Marianne Hall at latest one week before deadline, and hand in the “Full cost application” to the economist Eva Stengard two days before deadline. More information and check list below, as well as in a separate email sent out by Marianne on 5 March 2021.

Transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA (Schrems II)
The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) underlines that agents considering the transfer of personal data to countries outside the EU and EEA (referred to as third countries) must first ensure that this data has essentially equivalent protection in the country to which it is to be transferred. This means that transfer to a third country needs to be identified and assessed as to whether the legal conditions are still met. The transfers can regard issues such as when personal data is transferred to a third country within the framework of a research collaboration. The transfer of personal data between the EU and EEA and the United Kingdom can continue in its present form until mid-year 2021. Please address any questions to the Data Protection Officer at Lund University.
